Who We Are:
Your Turn Ministries is a non-denominational Evangelical Christian
organization founded by Rev. Jimmy Vaughn in the fall of 2004.
Our Motto: Inform, Inspire, and Involve
Our Purpose:
Our purpose is to serve believers and unbelievers alike in the same
manner as Jesus did during His earthly ministry. It is through this
service that we seek to “be a witness” of Christ’s love, compassion, and
life changing power trusting the Lord to bring about His purposes in
each situation. Our purpose is the be Ready and Willing to be this
witness where ever, and when ever the opportunity presents its self.
Act 1:8 “ but you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon
you; and you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea
and Samaria, and even to the remotest part of the earth."
Our vision:
Our vision is to challenge the body of Christ to be pro-active
participants in the Great Commission. This involvement can be as close
as across the street, or as far away as around the world.
Mat 9:37-38 Then He *said to His disciples, The harvest is plentiful,
but the workers are few (Inform) Therefore beseech the Lord of the
harvest (Inspire) To send out workers into His harvest." (Involve)
Our Core Values:
We will remain committed to the Word of God, inspired and inerrant, as
our standard for life and ministry.
We will strive to express our faith through a loving dependence on God
through a life style of worship and prayer.
We will seek to bring glory to the Lord through everything we do.
We will trust in God’s desire and ability to meet the needs of this
ministry.
We will seek to make our decisions based upon the Lord’s leading and
precepts.
We will make ourselves available for the Lord’s using as described in
Acts 1:8.
We will strive to minister to individuals, groups, and organizations
with equal love and passion.
We will seek partnerships with like-minded missionaries and
organizations in order to fulfill the Great Commission Task.
Your Turn Ministries Statement of Faith
Our beliefs are based solely on the Bible. It is God’s written word to
mankind made up of sixty-six books of the Old and New Testaments and is
without error in its original manuscripts. It is the supreme and final
authority in all matters.
(Jeremiah 10:1-16; John 17:3)
GOD: There is only one God eternally existing in three persons:
Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
JESUS the CHRIST: Jesus the Christ is both fully man and fully
God and that Jesus is the only way that God has given to mankind so they
can be reconciled to Himself. Jesus was born of a virgin, He lived a
sinless life, performed miracles, died on a cross for the sins of all
mankind, rose from the grave, ascended into heaven and will one day
return to earth in power and glory.
HOLY SPIRIT: The Holy Spirit is fully God who indwells everyone
who places their trust in Jesus the Christ and He empowers them to live
godly lives.
SALVATION: Every man and woman is sinful and is alienated from
God due to his or her own sin and only through faith in Jesus the Christ
can a person be restored into a right relationship with God. Salvation
is God’s free gift to all mankind. It is not based on human works,
traditions or religious acts but solely on God’s grace.
ETERNAL SECURITY: Because God gives man eternal life through
Jesus Christ, the believer is secure in that salvation for eternity.
Salvation is maintained by the grace and power of God, not by the
self-effort of the Christian. It is the grace and keeping power of God
that gives this security.
CHURCH: The Church is the Body of Christ and is composed of all
those who through faith and belief in Christ have been spiritually
regenerated by the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. The mission of the
church is worldwide evangelization on the one hand and the nurture and
discipling of Christians on the other.
BAPTISM: Baptism is an act of obedience for everyone who
confesses Jesus as Lord and it symbolizes the believer’s faith in the
crucified, buried and risen Savior, the believer’s death to sin, the
burial of the old life, and the resurrection to walk in newness of life
in Jesus the Christ.
GREAT COMMISSION: The Great Commission is a literal command by
Jesus the Christ that remains in effect today. It was initially given to
His first disciples while He walked the earth. This command requires all
Christ followers to be a living, visible and verbal witness to the Glory
of God in every corner of the earth.
